Cop dies as car rams post in Cebu town

MANILA, Philippines -- A policeman died Tuesday dawn after the car he was driving rammed into an electric post in Minglanilla town, Cebu, police said.

The Minglanilla police identified the fatality as Police Officer 2 Ivan Juarez who was assigned to the Naga Ctiy Station.

Juarez was driving his Mitsubishi Lancer car from Naga to his home in Talisay when accident occurred in Sitio Pungtod, Barnagay Sangi. He died at Minglanilla district hospital due to head injuries. (report from Jhunnex Napallacan/Inquirer Visayas)
